Anyone who has seen or was forced to see the first "Twilight" film remembers this scene: Edward takes Bella to a beam of light shooting down between the trees in the forest. In a dramatic attempt to show her why he, and vampires in general, avoid the sunlight, Edward unbuttons his shirt and steps into the light. Whether you groaned or gushed at that scene, scientists may have found some truth in Edward's claims.

It seems, if vampires are truly made from diamonds or Their lasers were diamond-based. They had many successes until they started working with a laser that shot ultraviolet light. The only reason why they are even together is that Stephenie Meyer wanted to get rid of the love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob. As for the creepy imprinting scene, that will be explained later.

There is practically no chemistry between the two and they are only together for the sake of being together. The ending to Breaking Dawn Part 2 might seem like an epic climax until it gets ruined thanks to someone but it could have been prevented if only the Cullens stopped a certain someone from going to the Volturi. When Renesmee was seen from afar, Irina, who is considered a cousin along with her sisters to the Cullens, was shocked. She believed that Renesmee was an immortal child.

Since immortal children were an illegal action, she went to the Volturi to report it. You know what could have saved the unnecessary bloodshed? As we all know, we totally needed more conflict in the movie. Thankfully, the vampires in Twilight are not invincible, otherwise, they would be more insufferable than they already are. However, there are some weaknesses they should have had that vampires are associated with.

What are those weaknesses? How about sunlight? But no, they just blind people whenever they are exposed to it. Garlic, holy water, and crosses? They are too good for those. How about fire instead? Amazingly, that is their only weakness.

All you have to do is deconstruct their limbs and make sure they burn before their body parts can reassemble. Now that we think about it, they kind of are indestructible. It goes to show that whoever is a vampire in Twilight , they are guaranteed to be perfection incarnate. That is just ridiculous and an insult to vampire logic. Romeo and Juliet: tragic but classic. Elizabeth and Darcy: smart and sweet.

Bella and Edward: manipulative and insulting. The idea around the last two becoming the couple real-life couples want to aim for is just sad. Bella is selfish and would rather her life wrapped around Edward than try to achieve other goals in life like going to college. She would even take her own life if Edward did something incredibly stupid. Speaking of Edward, he is too protective of Bella that he would get angry if someone was to just talk to her, especially if it was her best friend Jacob.

How can anyone see these two as a romantic couple? The trio that consisted of James, Victoria, and Laurent were the first real threats Bella had to come across since she got herself involved with vampires.

It was just one simple afternoon with a thunderstorm coming and the Cullens are playing baseball. Newborn vampires are always stronger than older ones, since their strength derives from the lingering human blood left in their body from their human life. A vampire's strength also enables them to leap incredible distances.

Edward was able to leap over a 50 yard wide river with ease during Bella's first hunt, while Bella was able to leap over twice his distance, while still only using a small amount of her force. Diet does not have a massive impact on strength, since it always depends on the individual vampire. Although, a diet of human blood makes a vampire stronger than animal blood, albeit only fractionally. Vampires who feed on animal blood vegetarian vampires find that "big game"—predators like bears or wildcats - not only smell more appealing to them, but also make them stronger than the "weaker" blood of herd animals such as deer or cattle.

Strength, of course, is not always physical. If a vampire possessed great mental strength and willpower as a human, he will find it easier to control his wild, animalistic instincts.

Even so, if a vampire has not fed for a long time, he will be less likely to think clearly and more likely to give in to his thirst, attacking the first living thing he detects and draining it of blood within seconds, all without a single thought human or animal.

A vampire's senses are also greatly enhanced, which enables them to see, hear, smell, feel, and taste things imperceptible to humans. As they grow older and more disciplined, vampires can learn to smell differences between the scents of various humans' blood, as well as scents of other things like fabrics - the unique scent of denim.

The range of their senses can be increased though only fractionally through concentration. Vampires mostly rely on smell to find their prey and take in the environment, which is partly why they find the lack of breathing uncomfortable. Hearing: Vampires can hear the most muted sounds. When Bella completed her transformation into a vampire, she listened to the sound of rap music until it slowly faded away.

She then realized that it was coming from a car with its window rolled down on a freeway, miles away from where she was. When she went on her first hunt, Bella could hear the fluttering wings and heartbeats of small birds flying through the forest.

She could also hear the scurrying noises of animals that were beneath the ground, as well as an army of ants on the ground. They also have an instinctive reaction to danger, usually from ill-willed vampires. They can hear sounds coming from several miles away, and even with their eyes closed, they can be sure that there are multiple people in a room thanks to their varied breathing patterns.

Taste: Vampires have a similarly enhanced sense of taste allowing them to taste flavors with much more depth and precision.

They can taste the differences of particles in their atmosphere. They can also detect minute differences between similar flavors. Even as a newborn, vampires are able to taste if the human they are feeding on has recently ingested drugs or alcohol. Sixth sense: Vampires also have a keen sense to danger, usually from something strong enough to harm them.

Sometimes, they may even detect danger before they know it consciously. Another impressive feature about vampires is their virtual indestructibility. During the transformation process, a vampire's cells become extremely hard, durable, and refractive, rendering their bodies nearly impenetrable. Vampires are noted to be exponentially more durable than "soft" humans.

The strength of a vampire's skin is described as harder than granite, and even diamond-hard. Their bodies are so hard that they are unable to be harmed by human weapons, and the only creatures capable of killing them are werewolves and other vampires. Vampires are capable of regenerating from various injuries and harm even wounds that are normally fatal to humans. Hair cannot be healed.

Also if a limb is torn off they must reattach it and the torn limb will heal. If a vampire is torn to pieces and the pieces are not burned in the fire, the vampire can reconstruct themselves as if no damage occurred, with no sign of harm. Vampires can also use their saliva which is also venom to accelerate the healing of their injuries. They apply venom to the wound, causing them to heal quicker. A vampire's body movements are uncannily flexible.

Their agility is more advanced than humans, which allows them to rapidly respond to change by adapting to its initial stable configuration; They can make numerous gymnastic, or martial arts implements with little effort using a combination of strength, balance, reflexes and speed. They can even swing, flip, bend and twist themselves without failure due to their enhanced sense of balance and flexibility.

Using their physical senses as allies, they can find motions at human speed too slow for them to miss. For instance, if a human with a loving character becomes a vampire, his or her passion is magnified, allowing him or her to love others even more intensely. The Volturi are an elite society of powerful vampires that enforce rules for other vampires to live by.

They help keep the existence of vampires a secret from humans and end up becoming a major part of the series. Edward knows how seriously the Volturi take the secrecy — and that they would kill him if he publicly revealed the existence of vampires — however, the first time he talks to Bella about the Volturi is while they are watching a movie in a classroom full of fellow students.

This seems like an unnecessary risk given that anyone in the classroom could have overheard their conversation, and Edward could have waited to talk to Bella about the Volturi until they were alone. Jacob gives Bella a dream catcher for her birthday in "New Moon," and she hangs it on her bed, where it can be seen throughout the rest of the movie.

Hawk-eyed viewers can also spot the dreamcatcher hanging from the same spot on her bed in "Eclipse. During the birthday party she throws for Bella in "New Moon," Alice uses Bella's camera to take a picture of Edward and Bella, suggesting that vampires can appear in pictures in the "Twilight" universe.

This is confirmed when Bella prints out the pictures and Edward is clearly visible — this contradicts many vampire myths that claim the creatures can't be caught on film. In "New Moon," while the family is preventing Jasper from attacking Bella, the Cullens' piano is destroyed. However, the piano is back in the same spot in perfect shape by the last movie. As Carlisle tends to the cut on Bella's arm after Jasper's outburst, he drops the used gauze into a bowl.

When he is finished treating her, he sets the bloody gauze on fire, likely to remove the scent of blood for the other vampires in the house. The camera lingers on this bowl, and the blood and gauze seem to resemble the red-and-white tulip on the cover of the "New Moon" book.

Bella has a conversation about the fate of vampires when Carlisle is tending to her injured arm in "New Moon," and in the same film, Edward explains that the main reason he doesn't want to turn Bella into a vampire is because he doesn't want to damn her. In "Twilight," after driving Bella to school, Edward alludes to his own damnation when he says, "I'm breaking all the rules now anyway, since I'm going to hell.

Charlie gives Bella a camera for her birthday, which Bella brings to school with her, presumably to take pictures of her friends. This is the same camera that Alice later uses to photograph Bella and Edward at her birthday party.

After the party, when Bella prints out the picture Alice took of her and Edward, her computer screen shows pictures of other characters too, like Eric and Jessica. When Bella attempts to email Alice after the Cullens move away in "New Moon," she addresses the emails to acullen me.

These email addresses, ending in me. During one of the bike-fixing scenes, there is a faint wolf paw print on the bottom part of Jacob's shirt — most likely a sly bit of foreshadowing since Jacob turns into a werewolf a little later in the film. Most cafeteria scenes in movies show characters drinking out of disposable containers and eating with plastic utensils, which is also what many real high-school lunch experiences are like.

In "New Moon," however, Bella's friends are drinking out of glasses and appear to be using real bowls, plates, and utensils. In addition to being a little unrealistic for a small-town public high school, the students in the lunch scenes from the first movie don't use this fine-dining ware.

According to director Chris Weitz, both of these titles were made up for the film , and the design team even created fake posters for the background of the scenes. The brand is actually Rainier beer , a Seattle-based brewing company, which makes sense since the film takes place in Washington.

During a flashback sequence in "New Moon" that shows Edward and Bella in the same meadow from "Twilight," her left foot is missing. Her right foot is clearly visible, and her left leg is fully there, but the space where her foot should be is empty save for the grass in the field. When Bella first goes to La Push, Washington , with her friends in "Twilight," she and Jacob are both bundled up in jackets as they walk along the beach.

However, after Jacob becomes a werewolf in "New Moon," he walks on the same beach in just a T-shirt — even though Bella is still wearing a jacket. Jacob later explains that werewolves have a higher body temperature and don't get cold as easily as humans. In "Twilight," Victoria has blonde hair, but in"New Moon," her hair is instead a very vivid red-ish orange. Her hair color changes again in the third movie to a more muted auburn, however, that may be due to the fact that a completely different actress portrayed the role in "Eclipse.

New actress aside, the red hair color more closely aligns with how Victoria was described in the books. James, the tracker vampire that hunts her in the first movie, bites Bella on her right arm during the big fight scene. Edward stops the venom from turning her into a vampire, but the bite still scars Bella. When Alice and Bella realize that Edward is going to attempt to force the Volturi to kill him, they both take a plane to Italy to try to stop him. We don't actually see the pair on the plane, but we do see their conversation in the car on the way to the airport followed by a shot of a plane taking off.

By the next scene, they're in Italy. The plane is clearly traveling during the daytime, so Alice's vampire skin would have been sparkling noticeably, but neither Bella nor Alice discuss this at all.

A "St. Marcus Day" festival is well underway when Bella and Alice arrive in Italy , and Alice explains that the festival is the celebration of the "expulsion of vampires from the city. Although that's a made-up holiday, some Italians do celebrate the Feast of St.

Mark , known as La Festa di San Marco, which commemorates the death of the Catholic saint — and doesn't have anything to do with vampires.

Edward plans on removing his shirt at noon during the Italian festival, knowing that the Volturi will kill him for publicly revealing himself as a vampire in front of so many human witnesses. Bella reaches Edward before he can fully step out into the sunlight, but by the time she stops him, he is already shirtless and sparkling where he's standing.

A child sees this and tugs on someone's robe to show them, but we never see if the adult notices Edward. Even if no one but the child saw Edward sparkle, and the child never told anyone, it still seems odd that the movie made a point of showing us that Edward's stunt was noticed without this actually having any consequences.

While discussing marriage with Edward at the beginning of "Eclipse," Bella is at first opposed to the idea. She tells Edward that people will assume that they're getting married so young because she's pregnant. Jessica asks Angela if she thinks Bella will be "showing" and when Angela says that Bella isn't pregnant, Jessica asks, "Who else gets married at 18?

There is a wolf painting next to the door inside Bella's bedroom that's noticeable several times throughout the first three movies. The painting is probably a subtle foreshadowing of the existence of werewolves in the "Twilight" universe and Bella's connection to Jacob, but it could also just be standard Pacific Northwest home decor. Bella gets a paper cut while opening a gift from Esme and Carlisle in the "New Moon" movie. Since the blood from her cut causes Jasper to try and attack her, viewers never get to see what the gift is.

In "Eclipse," Edward reminds Bella about the plane tickets his "parents" got for her birthday, which she and Edward use to visit her mother, so that's apparently what was in the gift from the previous film.

When Bella visits her mom in "Eclipse," she tells her that she is considering going to the University of Alaska for college. But her actual plan for life after high school is marrying Edward and becoming a vampire. Bella and Edward do get married, but they struggle to explain her absence while she is pregnant and a newly turned vampire.
