Tampa Bay will already be without Jamel Dean knee and Sean Murphy-Bunting elbow for Week 4, so losing Davis -- their top corner -- would be a significant blow.

Richard Sherman and Ross Cockrell are already expected to play significant roles against the Patriots, but if Davis also misses the contest, then Dee Delaney and Rashard Robinson may be thrust into extended snaps as well. Davis posted nine tackles eight solo and a pass breakup in Sunday's win over the Falcons. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw 46 passes Sunday, so Davis had a busy afternoon in the tackling department.

Not every game will be like this. In fact, Davis eclipsed seven tackles just once last season. The second-round pick has upside based on his coverage skills, but his weekly IDP floor is low. Davis hamstring is active for Sunday's Week 2 tilt against the Falcons.

Davis' appearance on the injury report Friday was cause for concern, but the starting cornerback indeed will be available for Sunday's NFC South matchup. The fourth-year pro will look to help the Buccaneers continue to frustrate a Falcons passing game that struggled badly against the Eagles in Week 1 in the first regular-season game under new head coach Arthur Smith's scheme.

Davis hamstring was limited at practice Friday and is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Falcons, Carmen Vitali of the Buccaneers ' official website reports. It's not clear when Davis sustained the injury as he was a full participant in practice throughout the week. He joins Murphy - who announced this weekend will be his th and final game - as well as Kemp, who was confirmed to play his first match in Navy Blue.
