Should i destroy the dark brotherhood skyrim
Players will have the opportunity to join the Dark Brotherhood during their darkest times and have a chance to return the group to its former glory. The Dark Brotherhood once held dominion over all of Tamriel and presented a considerable threat in other Elder Scrolls titles. Their core tenets revolve around their worship of Sithis, the Dread-Father, the deity of emptiness, and the Void. The Dark Brotherhood's previous iterations took their orders from the Night Mother, the burnt husk of a woman who speaks Sithis' desires to a chosen member of the Brotherhood.
However, Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood abandoned this worship and adopted independent styles of operation.
The Dark Brotherhood's greatest drawback is its merciless killing of many characters. Players may find their favorite merchant or bard becoming their next target. Many charming characters, such as Lurbuk, must be killed to progress the guild's main questline.
Dark Brotherhood is just pretty much irreconcilable. Personally I was much happier with choosing the destroy option and saving the quest-line for an alternate more thematically appropriate character.
BelligerentEngine said:. Boy, I really don't remember that being an option. Can you be a bit more specific about where you get that mission? I'm very curious. It's not a mission, when you wake up in the hut she says, "you've got to kill someone to get out of here" or something.
Which gives you the opportunity to intuit that maybe you can kill her. Doing so results in her kinda doing some weird shadow step attacking thing but eventually when you kill her she whispers, "well done". Once you kill Astrid you get a quest that says to talk to guard, which leads you to the questline to wipe out the rest of the brotherhood.
If you choose to kill her, you get one more mission. If you join you get a whole questline of varied quests.
I'm a good guy too, but I didn't want to miss all that. Almost all the items unique to the faction can be looted off the dark brotherhood members once you've killed them.
I never considered that as a potential option. I always release the prisoner even the ungrateful harpy. Now when I do this I make sure I only use weapons I have up-crafted myself with a soul trap longbow. Why do people talk about the gold these quests "rewarded"? It's rather chump change. Whenever I play Skyrim, I never have a shortage of gold and items. You can earn legit gold with your skills, Smithing and bartering. I buy a few ebony and glass weapons, improve with smithing, resell back to the shop.
